Indonesian coffee chain Kopi Kenangan generated gross revenue of approximately Rp3.7 trillion during the 12-month period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, highlighting the continued expansion of the country’s modern coffee retail sector.
The reported revenue covers the operations of PT Bumi Berkah Boga (PT BBB), which operates the Kopi Kenangan coffee business, and PT Bumi Cipta Rasa (PT BCR), the company’s ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage business.
According to Edward Tirtanata, Group CEO and Co-Founder of Kopi Kenangan, the company operated 1,273 outlets across 218 cities in Indonesia during the period. The growing network has also created employment opportunities for approximately 9,000 workers.
Beyond its own operations, Kopi Kenangan said its business supports a broader network of local suppliers. The company currently works with more than 145 local suppliers, while spending on key suppliers exceeded Rp519 billion during the year.
The company also contributed more than Rp372 billion in tax payments, underscoring the growing economic contribution of Indonesia’s expanding coffee retail industry.
More Than 530,000 Cups Sold Every Day
Kopi Kenangan’s continued store expansion has pushed its daily sales volume beyond 530,000 cups of coffee. The company says it now serves millions of customers every week across its growing Indonesian network.
The scale of the business extends beyond coffee shops themselves. According to Edward Tirtanata, the company’s operations are helping drive activity throughout Indonesia’s coffee and palm sugar ecosystems, connecting farmers, raw-material suppliers, manufacturers and other businesses involved in the wider supply chain.
“Such a scale of business also drives the national coffee and palm sugar ecosystem, from raw-material suppliers to various businesses that form part of the company’s supply chain,” Edward said in a company statement.
The development reflects the increasingly important role played by large coffee chains in Indonesia’s coffee economy. As branded coffee outlets continue to expand beyond major urban centers, demand for locally sourced coffee, dairy products, sugar, packaging and other inputs is also creating opportunities for domestic suppliers.
Balancing Affordability and Sustainable Growth
Despite its rapid expansion, Kopi Kenangan said it remains focused on maintaining coffee quality while keeping its products affordable for consumers.
The company also aims to generate a wider economic impact through job creation and the development of local talent. With its network already spanning hundreds of cities, the chain sees further expansion as an opportunity to strengthen its position within Indonesia’s fast-growing coffee market.
Looking ahead, Kopi Kenangan plans to continue expanding its business in a measured manner, with an emphasis on sustainable growth rather than expansion alone.
Edward said the company remains committed to making a positive contribution to Indonesia’s national economy while supporting the development of the country’s coffee ecosystem.
For Indonesia’s coffee industry, the continued growth of Kopi Kenangan illustrates how large-scale coffee chains are becoming increasingly integrated with the domestic supply chain, employment market and broader agricultural economy.
